Boules at the Bull Open Pairs Competition
I played in this competition for the first time in 2019 with Liz Cosham as my partner. We came 10th out of 13, ok
concidering the ability of the teams above us.

Open Pairs Competition at Gotherington
I played in this competition for the first time in 2018 with Liz Cosham as my partner. We won only 1 match but didn’t
come last, thankfully.
We entered as a pair again in 2019 and won 3 matches so a good improvement.
As it was an anniversary year a lunch was included for all players. After lunch there was a target pointing
competition which was won by John Zarola of the Saxons club.
Saxons Pairs Competition
I played in this competition for the first time in 2018 with Sue McKechnie as my partner. We got through to the 3rd
round and then lost.
2018 I played in this competition for the first time and beat John O in the first round and then lost to Keith D in the
2nd round.
2019 I came second in the Group stage and was beaten in the Quarter Final by Brenda.
Saxons Singles Competition
Eileen Mitchel Trophy Charity Competition
2018 I was unable to play due a Cotswold League match for Cirencester U3A.
2019 I came 5th out of 24 so not bad.
2018 No idea this Triples competition existed.
2019 Had a lovely long day watching and taking in the atmosphere in preparation for an enty in 2020.
Sherston Festival Competition

I played in this competition for the first time in 2019 with Liz Cosham as my partner. We came 11th out of 20, ok
concidering the ability of the teams above us.
entered the GWR 2019/2020 Winter Doubles Competition for the first time under the name PLJ Juicers. Myself,
Liz Cosham both from Cirencester and John Zarola from Cricklade have teamed up to enter the Great Western
Region of Pétanque England Winter Doubles competition over 10 Sundays from 20th October 2019 until 1st
March 2020. We came 28th out of 29 teams.

entered the GWR 2020/2021 Winter Doubles Competition for the second time under the name Corinium Misfits.
Myself, Liz Cosham Alan Stevens and Ian Savage have teamed up to enter the Great Western Region of Pétanque
England Winter Doubles competition over 10 Sundays from November 2020 until April 2021.

A Cirencester / Saxons Team have
entered the GWR 2021/2022 Winter Doubles Competition for the third time under the name Corinium Misfits.
Myself, Liz Cosham Alan Stevens and Ian Savage have teamed up again to enter the Great Western Region of
Pétanque England Winter Doubles competition over 10 Sundays from November 2021 until April 2022. We came
25th out of 30 teams.
A Cirencester / Cricklade Team have
entered the GWR 2022/2023 Winter Doubles Competition for the fourth time, team 1 under the name Oh Coche
with Myself, Jenny Clabon, Alan Shepherd and Charles Faulkner having teamed up. Team 2 under the name of
Massif Boules with Ian Savage, Mike Fidler, Liz Cosham and Keith Dancer teamed up. Both teams to enter the
Great Western Region of Pétanque England Winter Doubles competition over 10 Sundays from November 2022
until April 2023. Oh Coche came 25th and Massif Boules came 25th out of 30 teams.
